Samantha, were you rooting for Margo and Sophie? I went back and forth but ultimately loved watching them flirt. What do you hope happens if there is a season two?

Netflix

Samantha: I wanted them to kiss immediately after their first scene together. I’m a simple woman with simple needs. And when they ended up in bed together with multiple episodes still left to go, I cheered. Finally, a show that doesn’t queerbait us for an entire season.

With regards to a second season: If Margo and Sophie were real people, I would not be rooting for them going forward given what we learn about Margo’s actions in the final episode. But because these are fake people on my laptop screen, yes, I absolutely want these two ladies to continue being entangled in a toxic gay way. I don’t want The Hunting Wives pull a Killing Eve in the end. How about you?

Cave: Yes. I also have to say, I worried that after Sophie’s (valid) crashout and insane voicemail to Margo, we would never see them kiss again. I was gutted by the thought of their love story being taken away from me just as quickly as I got it. But luckily, I was wrong. I could not have been more excited when Margo came knocking and Sophie once again crumbled — giving in to her temptations and obsession. In a world where it’s so easy to dilute sapphic stories, The Hunting Wives leaned in fully and gave us the messy sex with your ex storyline(s) that we deserved.

Samantha: God, this show is such a salve at a time when we badly need as much chaotic sapphic entertainment as possible. I’m actually a bit worried about what to do now that I’ve finished this show. Because of those weird inside-baseball licensing issuesI’m worried there could be a longer-than-usual wait for season two. How are you going to bide your lesbian time now that you’ve binged this show twice?

Hence: Well, luckily for me, my favorite lesbian show of all time is still airing. I’m talking about the WNBAof course. Between all of the cute couples in the league, the lime-green dildos being thrown in the air, and Azzi benefit and paige bueckers’ love story, I’m sat.

Samantha: I’m going to see Honey, Don’t tonight. Jealous?

Hence: Well, as you know, Aubrey Plaza is my biggest crush of all time. I named my Kia Soul in college after her. So yes, I’m jealous but I’m also excited for you to watch it. No spoiler but let’s just say the movie’s sex scenes are just as good as the ones in The Hunting Wives.

Samantha: Aubrey Plaza in THW season 2?

Hence: Honestly, I could cry just thinking about that. A love triangle between Aubrey Plaza, Brittany Snow, and Malin Åkerman might just end lesbians everywhere.
